My Approach
WHO I TREAT: I offer individual online-therapy services for adults ages 18-65. I have worked in various settings including three university counseling centers, a private practice, a community mental health center, and the VA Healthcare System. These contexts have offered a breadth of experience in treating various mental health concerns. I have a thorough understanding of the unique needs of college-students, as well as the distinct issues that face veterans.

WHAT I TREAT: I am passionate about helping people through trauma/PTSD and treating anxiety (Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety, Phobias) and OCD. I have extensive experience helping with depression, insomnia, relationship issues, self-esteem, personal growth, stress, and identity concerns.

MY PHILOSOPHY: I prioritize understanding your cultural background and believe your identity profoundly affects your experience of the world and mental health. I think focusing on your strengths is equally as important as focusing on the things that aren't going well. I view myself as a very straight-forward therapist who will be kind and supportive while offering honest feedback and being direct with you. I think having a good sense of humor is incredibly important and hope we can infuse this in therapy together!

HOW I TREAT: I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged exposure (PE), Exposure and Response Prevention (EXRP), Psychodynamic/Interpersonal therapy, all within a multi-culturally sensitive lens. I have an integrative style, meaning I combine approaches and pull out different elements depending on what you need. Often, there isn’t one “right” approach -- there can be various ways to treat the same problem! I recognize that most probably won't know what these approaches entail so please click on the icons below for more information about each.
